Our project this year Read It, Track It, Share It, will happen during Library Special time. Students will read library books through out the school year and then use composition books, pencils and glue sticks to record and make interactive journals of their favorite parts of the book they just read as well as track their scores on Accelerated Reader (AR) for the completed book. Then students will practice public speaking by standing up and sharing, through the interactive journal what they liked the most about the book that they have just finished reading.
Reading can truly take you places. By this school years end my students will be better readers, writers and leaders. Through reading, recording, and speaking.
