My students are 5 and 6 year old African American children. They come from a poor neighborhood with not much stability. This does not inhibit their love of learning, however. They come to school with open minds and open hearts. They are like little sponges and they grow so much from September to June. The supplies I requested will enable them to read and write more comfortably.
