Help my first graders get out their wiggles! Recently, I was able to use my classroom Scholastic book points to get 3 purple wobble chairs. While the chairs have been a fantastic addition to the classroom, 3 is not enough. We need 6 for a small group set. Then everyone will get a chance to sit in one every day!
When first graders use these chairs they are able to focus more. Without these chairs, first graders have a lot of difficulty sitting for a 15 minute sustained period. I have been able to observe my students with these chairs over the last week. The ones that sit in the chairs get more work completed, are engaged in tasks for longer amounts of time, and enjoy the chance to use them.
These chairs will make all the difference!
