I teach fifth grade students who are creative, active, and always looking to challenge themselves. My students need hands-on activities and experiences to understand abstract concepts involving real world situations and to gain an appreciation of historical events. How can we expect fifth graders to understand the events of the Revolutionary War and empathize with our early American ancestors without this opportunity to walk in their shoes?

About my class
