Established in 1979, our school provides educational and support services for children with hearing or vision loss in the Mobile County Public School System.
Some of the students have additional challenges that magnify the impact of the vision or hearing loss. Each of the students has special needs and requires extensive technology and assistance to succeed in a school setting. Students attend classes at one of three locations: the elementary campus, the middle school campus, and the high school campus. In addition, itinerant services are provided throughout county for students whose disability is not severe enough to require full time placement on one of the campuses. Services are also provided in neighboring counties. We currently have over 70 children in our elementary campus but serve over 350 throughout the school system.
