We are small school that resides in a rural community rather than an incorporated city. Within our community we have only a small amount of established business. Our school is comprised of approximately 240 students in Kindergarten through 4th Grade. 66.7% of our students utilize the free and reduced price meal program and we do not have public transportation to, nor from, neighboring towns/cities.
Our Kindergarten class is made up of students with varying literacy exposure . Unfortunately, a majority of our incoming Kindergarten students do not start school with the skills of an average 5 year old student. Even though their early learning exposure is limited, they come with a drive and determination to learn all they can.
