These books will be sent home with children and their families when they attend our Kindergarten Book Club sessions. The reading specialists and kindergarten teachers will be doing small make and take projects. As well, they will read aloud some of their own favorite stories and authors to the students and families. There are two goals in carrying out these book clubs. One is to get students excited about reading. The second goal is to support parents in fostering a positive home reading environment. There will be opportunities for students to listen to a diverse set of stories and help the students to stock up on books and create their own libraries at home.
