I have a classroom of 21 boys and girls eager to learn and explore the world around them. Our school is a Title 1 school with approximately 900 students; serving a population where more than 70% of the students come from low-income households. Every morning, students are so excited to get down the hall to the place they call their classroom, also known as their second home. We are a community, a team, a family. As of today, our classroom rug is 13 years old. With the normal day-to-day wear, it is becoming difficult to repair parts of it.
