I teach kindergarten in a title one school. Many of our students come from low income households. We have a very diverse population with many student from Brazil and various other South American countries, as well as students from various Caribbean islands including Haiti, Cuba and Jamaica. I teach the Supported Kindergarten classroom which means I have several students in my class with special needs. I have several on the Autism spectrum, but depending on the year, I might also get students with other physical or behavioral disabilities. Kindergarten is always a challenging but exciting age to teach!
