G.A.B.I.E. is a mobile, digital, interactive bus that comes to schools. It is a classroom on wheels and gives students a new way to learn all about Georgia’s agriculture. There are 10 stations on the bus where students can touch a crop, read about it and watch it on TVs.
One of the two outside stations is where students will learn about the regions and the climates and how plants grow. Each students will receive a seed and soil to grow their own plants and watch them grow in the classroom. This exploration will not only teach the students how to survive and prosper but also how to eat healthier. The students plant their plants in milk cartons from the cafeteria. This teaches the students to up-cycle, re-purpose and recycle!
