Quirky. That's the best word to describe this group of gifted students. They are unique, with personalities that are incredible! This is a group of students in Arizona who enjoy coming to school; they are eager to learn and to absorb new information, as well as share their knowledge with their peers. There are 30 identified gifted students in this class who have been classmates since first grade, so they are not just classmates, but they are friends. This particular group of students are voracious readers and love to sprawl out on pillows on the rug with a chapter book, grab books from literacy kits we have and buddy up and peruse together, and look forward to each Monday when we pair up with our younger buddies for reading buddies.
