I teach in a school with ethnically and linguistically diverse students. Over 80% of students qualify for free and reduced lunch. They are a lively group of students who are not afraid to speak their mind. Since many students do not have adults at home who speak English, they are responsible for their learning and may require extra support in the classroom. Many also do not have books or magazines at home, so their main source for finding literature and magazines is through my classroom. My students love to learn new things and enjoy sharing their learning with others.
