My school library serves 2600 students in both a middle and high school, and nearly half of these students come from economically disadvantaged homes. As a result, many of my students rely upon their school library to obtain reading material, both for schoolwork and recreational purposes.
As the oldest school in our community, we are proud of our school's rich traditions and diverse population. Unfortunately, our library collection is also one of the oldest and most dated in the community. Our students deserve better.
