Everyone knows how beneficial exercise is to our bodies. It's even more crucial for our brains. When we get more oxygen and blood flow to our gray matter, we think clearer, have better cognitive thinking, and can focus on what's in front of us.
I'm getting a very active bunch of second graders this coming school year and I'm always trying to bring in new ways to motivate and keep my kids excited to learn.
By bringing in exercise balls as chairs and replacing the normal, hard seats, I'm also securing that my students will be able to absorb more of our daily lessons and have more fun doing it!
Their classroom environment can be inspirational or it can be mediocre. I love creating a place where my students love to be and participate in. When we get our exercise balls as chairs at their desk, they'll be able to keep their wiggles going and be thinking their best at the same time. This will of course take structure along with firm guidelines on how we use and how we don't use our new seats.
I'm confident, these will be not only fun for the kids, but also keep their minds alert, creative, and more mindful of the tasks in front of them.
Thank you in advance for helping my little Alaskan movers!
