I teach first grade for students in a low socioeconomic area. Our school has a diverse population. In my class I have 6 English language learners including Hispanic, Chinese, and Russian. Out of 20 students 15 of them are boys. This makes for a very adventurous and fun class. My school is unique in that it has a dual language program and we are in the process of becoming an Interbaccalareate School. Therefore, we have a global mindset and my students receive language instruction in both French and Spanish.
