Students at C.H.S. run the gamut of experience. We have students that are homeless as well as students that are from well balanced situations. We have a comprehensive high school that offers great opportunities but has suffered during the economic crisis. We also have more than 50 families at our school that have been affected adversely by the recent fires in Colorado.
In the midst of this, our student are curious and eager. But, they are eager for practical application. They relish the opportunity to connect with others around the world. As a class, over the last fifteen years, we have taken five groups on service and exploration trips to Latin America. However, that experience isn't practical for everyone, but connecting globally around the world with technology is practical... that's what my students desire to do.
