Currently my students are working from home using both technology and district made packets. Going into the fall, student will be facing a new normal. They will have to maintain distance from each other and adapt to more individualized work versus group work.
My students deserve the best! I am looking to obtain materials to develop individual work stations for each of my students.
Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will allow me to find materials from the best that is out there for my students. My students will be excited by life skills related activities, adapted comprehension lessons, research projects, math surveys, and pre vocational activities that can meet their individual needs.
I have also requested individualized task box containers, sight word note card binders, and materials to make file folders to organize materials for class room learning in the fall. Students will be in a new state of normal and the usually shared material will now have to be individualized so that the health and safety of each child can be maintained. The materials will be wipeable for a healthier environment, I have also requested containers for each student’s materials in order for them to maintain distancing within the classroom.
Based on current information in Pennsylvania, it is likely that our school district may need to take a hybrid approach to learning in the fall. These individualized materials will be portable for the students and will allow them to take learning home if needed. Distance learning for my students can truly be individualized by their teacher both in the classroom, online, and through materials they have on hand.
