My school is located in an urban community where all students receive free lunch. My students love trying new things. One of my students stated “I’ve never been on a big computer before! This is cool!" Everything is exciting to them. We were learning about animals and their habitats. I bought in a Praying Mantis. The students decided to keep it as a class pet. They created a habitat and we conducted research to learn more about this insect. My students are always looking for things to learn about and explore.
