Everyday, I arrive to work and I wonder what the day will hold when it comes to student needs and behaviors. I love seeing my students and letting them know that their past as well as their current circumstances do not determine their ability for success or define them as a human. This is essential because working in a school district that is extremely underfunded as well as highly impacted with more than 50% of our students being low income has its cultural stereotypes. It also requires me to deliver instruction in more meaningful and adaptable ways in order to reach all of my students. My students are amazing and need support feeling important and that they matter to society.
