I teach in low income elementary schools with over 85% receiving free and reduced lunch. I am the librarian split between 2 schools due to funding. In the past I have taught reading intervention and know how hard it is to help students build interest in reading in middle school (especially when they are so far behind their peers). I strive to help students love of reading as early as possible through a variety of high interest resources.
