I teach in a Title 1 school with a large latino population that is learning not only to read, but to speak English. The students are amazing and are so hungry to learn to read. They get excited over books. They enjoy getting new books to read and sharing them with their families. These kids don't have books at home and my classroom is the only place they get to read and get new books.
