These books were chosen with diversity in mind, obstacles that students have overcome just like they can. I also want to increase my spanish library as I have been trying to over that last several years. I would like to make an impact on the level of books available to my readers. Students can not provide analysis of books if they are unable to read them by providing them high quaility books that they like to read I will help to encourage them to become readers and be able to fully participate in classwork.
I have students give book talks each year, it is difficult if they don't have books they are interested in or can read, by having Graphic Novels, Spanish books and Diverse books I will be able to provide this for them. The Qball is to give them a voice for while we are having discussions to increase the engagement. The throwable ball is more engaging than the mirophone that must be passed by the time the student gets the microphone their courage is gone. I want to enable the students to use this temporary courage to give them them the power of their voice to speak out and speak up and make a difference.
