Our school is very special. We have many different languages that are spoken here. Sometimes we will get students that don't speak any english at all. This can be challenging, but we love working together. It is so amazing to watch as the kids go from having no experience in the education world to having a whole year of learning under their belt. We are able to give them their first experience with art, reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and much more. Plus all the wonderful enrichment activities we can provide them with that they would otherwise not have the opportunity to have, for example taking them to the theater to see a play of a book we have just read. All of these new experiences mold them into such amazing young people. The struggles that they over come from not speaking our language to not having enough food to eat at night always amaze me. They are full of potential and I will never stop fighting to give them the best!
