I teach in a low income community where 85% or more of the student population is on the free and reduced price lunch program. Our school is a very welcoming place and many parents have commented on this and how much their child loves to be here. Many of these kids have it hard at home, but they love to learn and always greet me each day with a big smile and let me know how excited they are to come see me in the library. I love having the opportunity to share my love for reading with these great kids!
