My classroom contains a diverse set of children with Autism. I currently teach 8 children in grades 3 to 5 in a self-contained autistic support classroom in a public school in North Philadelphia. My children range in age from 8 years old to 11 years old. My students have a desire to learn. We do everything from learning to read better and improving our math skills to working on our social skills and developing better interpersonal relationships to others. My children are all on different levels which requires a wide variety of materials. We use a lot of manipulatives but are working on expanding our technology use and including more academic materials as much as we possibly can.
