My classroom is a full diverse, unique group of learners who come to school every day eager to learn and grow. They work hard and are grateful to be in such a positive, supportive environment. Our school has a free and reduced lunch rate of over 55%, and for many students, English is their second language. Also, because we cluster students in certain classrooms to give extra support, about 20% of students in our classroom qualify for special education services (IEP). Each child is working on developing their reading skills and deepening their thinking. We work hard on student-to-student talk and collaboration.
