I teach at an underprivileged alternative high school in North-East Denver. My students are considered some of the most "at-risk" in the area. Even with this said, my students are hard working and have brought some great insights to the classroom. I want to open their minds to science and how it can fit into their everyday lives. Many of these students are missing important academic skills. It is important for them to experience science in a way that they can really understand it and make it fit into their everyday lives!
