I teach kindergarten-2nd grade special education students with multiple disabilities. My students' disabilities range from specific learning disabilities, autism, behavioral challenges, to students that require full day support due to medical needs. Most of my students cannot read, due to a variety of reasons. Self-confidence and parental support at home is limited due to parents working multiple jobs to support their families. My students come to school happy, and energetic. Our school is located in a very low socio-economic area. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. My school is a wonderful school where children and families are supported with a variety of resources. Our school strives for excellence in every capacity, no matter the challenge.
