My students live in a rural community. There are many ELL students in the area. It is a farming community. Often funding is lacking for projects that interest these students. They don't want to be stuck in pencil-paper projects or simply reading the text book only. They want to do projects that pique their interests and needs. Special needs students are often overlooked. They need to know that their needs are just as important as the star sports players.
