I became a teacher because I love listening to children, watching them discover and helping guide them to make smart decisions that will help them now and in their future. I'm amazed at their growth every day and I am honored that I get to participate in their lives. Each day we as a class are learning how to be a community and what that means. I view this skill as important as teaching math, reading, and writing.
Each child is unique to our class offering different gifts to our family. In that search to allow each child the opportunity to share and have a turn at being able to shine in their own gift - whatever that might be. My second objective in being a teacher is to make this process of learning fun and exciting and that they are able to discover new things that they are interested in learning. First grade is the beginning of their career as a student and I want to make it where they enjoying coming!
