My students are in 5th grade and they are in a school that has 98% of the students on free or reduced lunch. The students come from families that are mainly from Mexico and have worked very hard to get here. The language spoken at home is Spanish and other than at school, they do not practice the English language. Technology is not something that is found in many of the student's homes and many of their parents do not even have phones or computers at home
