I teach a motivated and very energetic group of first graders in a low-income school district. This will be my second year with this group of students since I am looping up with them from kindergarten. From day one, they have continued to amaze me. They grow every day as I challenge them to become better readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists and people. My students have varying backgrounds, from special needs to English language learners, but each possesses the want to learn more. I believe that all of my students have the ability to learn each day and I want them to each reach their goals throughout the year.
