The school I work with is unique because it is one of the only K-12 Charter Schools. This is important for the families because about fifty percent of the students have younger or older siblings who attend the school. One word that I would describe my students is ambitious because they always find ways to succeed. Many of the students will be the first to graduate in their family with a high school degree, which opens opportunities they want to pursue. My students continue to push the expectations of their community by wanting better for themselves and their family.
