I teach in an inner-city, Title I school. 100% of the students are at the poverty level. The neighborhood is unsafe, so students are eager to come to school not only to learn but to be safe. All of my students qualify for a free breakfast and lunch. Our school provides not only a learning environment, but the basic needs that these children need on a daily basis. Students are academically below grade level by at least two years.
