Displaying artifacts from countries where Portuguese is spoken will initiate interest among my students. These items will act as talking points daily. The poster of Lisbon will motivate them to travel there. We are growing the program in our district and the language and cultures are amazing. The maps will allow them to know where the language is spoken. I believe artwork is also a must. I inherited my Spanish classroom artifacts from the previous teacher thankfully, but I have nothing for this new Portuguese class. The kids need to know the language is important and these posters will increase their interest overall.
