The classroom environment has a direct impact on student achievement. My students control their own work habits and productivity. They enjoy having multiple options when it comes to learning spaces. Third graders are given many independent and collaborative learning opportunities.
I want to produce more creative workspaces for my students to feel empowered. Using this requested picnic table as a cooperative learning center will promote and stimulate their discussions. Picnic tables gather students in a way that introduce a team dynamic. The table will also allow for teachers to integrate with students.
The two gaming rockers will be an absolute hit with students! They work on an array of blended learning computer programs, and usually prefer to work in a quiet space on the floor of the classroom when doing so. These rockers will keep them comfortable and upright, in order to be productive with online learning.
Our classroom carpet is a necessity! I bring all students together as a whole group when implementing direct instruction. Our current carpet is old and frayed. It has become too worn for appropriate use. The new carpet also will add a new dimension. The carpet displays a world map depicting all seven continents and major attractions around the globe. As a traveler myself, I love opening their eyes and bringing the world to life right there in my classroom.
