I teach both Kansas History and 7th grade math in middle school. My students are from low income homes and they need to be exposed to all learning styles in order to get the most out of their education.
Currently we have Smartboards and projectors in each of our classrooms. A document camera will help my students to see math problems and work through the steps to a solution. I can also display maps in my Kansas History classes and help students identify locations on a map without having to go to each individual and help them plot points on the maps.
Having a document camera will help students to focus and get a clear picture of what is being taught in all content areas. My students love to share their ideas and work with each other, and what better way then to be able to project their work and solutions during instruction!
