I teach Special Education to students in Pre-K and Kindergarten, ranging from 3 to 6 years old. My children have a wide range of unique abilities where they are capable of learning and demonstrating amazing things and going so far in life. These little people impress and inspire me every day with the hard work, dedication, and new ideas they show. Yet they are not always properly supported in successfully showing this in a general education setting or at home.
My job is to make sure my students receive specialized support to ensure they are ultimately successful throughout their schooling and life. The skills developed in Early Childhood are fundamental; if my students cannot proficiently learn the basic skills taught at this level, they will lack crucial pieces necessary for reaching their fullest potential through the rest of their education and life thereafter.
