My 6th grade scholars are innovative, curious, and hungry for knowledge. Not just regurgitated knowledge, but truly understanding and looking for deeper meaning knowledge. They are leaders and thinkers. They have a zillion questions about the how and why of everything and I do my best to help them figure it all out. They are creative, funny, and kind. They come up with incredible new ideas and are a constant amazement.
I am so fortunate that my school embraces experiential learning and encourages hands on exploration whenever possible. My scholars take this idea and create their own experiences, bringing in new projects they've created and helping each other learn about our world and how it works.
