I teach students in grades 5-12 band in South Williamsport, PA. We have one full-time instrumental music teacher which makes moving between buildings and seeing students for lessons a challenge. By using the Sound Innovations Ensemble Development books, I am hoping to increase the productivity during our rehearsal time together. Students will be exposed to chorales, warm-up exercises, rhythm reading, and technique exercises to further develop their playing abilities every day. The rehearsal will become more of a learning lab to develop their playing abilities and less focused on solely learning concert music. It's my hope that through this curriculum, the students will continue to grow and develop as a musician.
