We use a LOT of re-usable materials in our room, but each student requires their own set of learning materials that are re-positionable. They also need more expansive sets as their abilities grow, which means that we often run out of the Velcro dots and magnet tape that we use for these books pretty quickly.
Dots and magnets help us create picture books and visual schedules for each student to follow to complete various tasks both in academic areas and life-skills, helping them become more independent thinkers and learners. They will enable the students to communicate out to us as well, and learn how to advocate to get their needs met in a more useful way long-term.
