Every year, I as a teacher, have that one (or more than one) child that is a fidgeter. They need to move in order to focus or stand to do their work. While I am more than happy to help these students perform at their best, the options end up being to stand and use a book to write on or stand at their desk but have to bend over to complete their work. To be able to have an option for students who need it to be able to stand and work and have an option to fidget their feet I know will have wonders with students focus! I intend to have these desks available in my class for the student(s) who will need that break from sitting to keep their energy up and blood flowing! Or even for the student who hit their growth spurt a little early than their peers (6th graders can be very tall! And our desks get uncomfortable for them, which as you can imagine makes it hard to stay focused on learning.) Help support me with giving these students a flexible option for the classroom so they can perform and learn in the best way possible!
