My students are very economically challenged. Most do not have access to computers at home. As a whole, most of them fall far below on the state and national standardized tests. They all have great attitudes but the best training is actual hands-on training that instills teamwork and critical thinking skills. Most of them really enjoy science, especially when it comes to actual hands-on projects.
