My students are in a School Readiness NAEYC Accredited pre-Kindergarten classroom. They are four to five years old and eager to learn, all day everyday.
The school district I teach in is the biggest inner city district in the state. My school is the second biggest elementary school out of thirty in the city, over 1000 students.
My students have diverse backgrounds with many languages. My classroom alone has seven different languages spoken in it. The district has programs that my students can utilize to support their first language, and help learn English but, the classroom lacks the technology for my students to access additional resources. My students will benefit and enhance their total learning experience by having my project funded and integrating technology in the classroom.
