We will use the 3d printer to create characters/action figures from the novels and stories we read in class. They will also write stories about their chosen characters of what occurs after the novel/story ends.
Students will create tangible characters from our readings. Students will create board games as an extension activity. Games will depict a variety of events from the novel and travel through the timeline of the story. The 3D printer will allow the students to create game pieces and other three denominational items depicting elements from the stories.
I think that by allowing students to create the characters from their novels/stories they will have a tangible item to help them think creatively.
