These supplies will be used throughout the school year to improve things that we do on a daily basis. When my students look around, I want them to have what they need to make learning fun. I want them to be prepared so they can become lifelong learners. I want to be prepared for the upcoming year so I am able to focus on teaching the children, not stressing over their supplies.
These supplies will help me to be ready for the upcoming year and allow me to focus on teaching my kids and not whether or not they have the correct materials to succeed.
We will be using our folders to help keep our writing projects neat and orderly so they can access them easily throughout the day. A big part of Kindergarten is hands on activities so the crayons and Expo markers will help with phonemic awareness skills. We also do a lot of cut and paste activities with our art projects and letter/math skills. If you have ever been around a 5 year old, they can use a glue stick on one project! When a child gets papers correct, they love to see that success with the smelly stickers! They know they have then hit the target of our lesson!
