Welcome to my page!
My name is Shannon and I am a twenty-seven year old Special Education teacher at Quaker Hill Elementary School in Connecticut. My current caseload consists of fifteen kindergarten, first, and second grade students. I have the pleasure of teaching students with a variety of needs (OHI-ADHD, Autism, Intellectual Disability, and Specific Learning Disability-Dyslexia).
My job entails pulling students out of the general education classroom for a specialized reading and spelling instruction, pushing into the general ed. classroom to assist students with math needs, testing and evaluating students, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), conducting PPT meetings, progress monitoring, and collecting and analyzing data.
