Imagine, 2 resource teachers that have just attended the best PD experience of their career so far - an Orton Gillingham training! They are now full of knowledge, excited about their learning, and can't wait to bring it back to their school! It's multi-sensory, meaning you teach the students through three modalities - visual, auditory, tactile. Many reading programs for struggling readers include this approach! This new learning requires materials, materials that we don't have and cost hundreds of dollars. Sand, readers, workbooks, vowel tents, craft sticks, magnetic boards, gel boards....it all adds up! Please help us teach our students, the way they learn! We want to provide our students with more than one way to make connections and learn concepts.
