I find that cell phones in the classroom can be both a help and a hindrance to student learning. I am hoping by setting up a Cell Phone Commuter Lot in my classroom, students will be more willing to put the phones down during class. Students already ask to charge phones during class, but then there are random phones at the lab benches. I plan to set up a Cell Phone station with the help of these holders and chargers. Students can put their phones in the lot and charge them, while the go to "work" on the tasks and labs we are doing in the class that day.
