My students almost exclusively come from a lower income area where they have tumultuous home lives. They are all amazing young people who have been under-served by their educational pasts.
I try to create a multimedia classroom where the students are able to access content and see the world around them to their advantage educationally. My students are bright and vibrant and they give everything they have every day they come into my classroom. I just want to provide them with the best materials and resources possible.
Our school is so severely underfunded and behind technologically that it hurts them. We do every assignment on paper and pencil. There is no WiFi available on campus that works. We have one computer lab of 35 computers that 800 students are expected to share. So doing projects or research is nearly impossible. I am trying to help the students and school usher in a more tech friendly age here.
